How Does the PADI Open Water Referral Course Work?

The course is divided into three main sections:

1. Knowledge Development (Theory Modules)

• Study scuba diving principles such as dive planning, buoyancy, and safety.
• Learn at your own pace via PADI eLearning (included) or a manual.
• Once complete, review the material with a PADI-certified instructor to ensure full understanding.

2. Pool Training (Confined Water Modules)

• Five pool training sessions at a local heated dive pool Lisburn Leisure plex
• Master essential scuba skills, including mask clearing, buoyancy control, and underwater navigation.
• Hands-on instruction from highly experienced PADI professionals to build your confidence before diving in the ocean.

3. Open Water Dives (Abroad at a PADI Dive Centre)

• Travel to a PADI Dive Centre abroad to complete your four open water dives.
• Apply your learned skills in real-world diving conditions.
• Once completed, receive your PADI Open Water Diver certification, valid worldwide for a lifetime!
