The PADI Adventure Diver Course is an exciting and flexible way to enhance your diving skills while exploring new underwater activities. Designed for certified Open Water Divers, this course allows you to choose three specialty dives based on your interests. Options include:
- Underwater Navigation – Improve your orientation skills underwater.
- Peak Performance Buoyancy – Enhance your buoyancy control and air consumption.
- Wreck Diving – Experience the thrill of exploring sunken wrecks.
- Night Diving – Discover the wonders of the underwater world after dark.
This one-day course builds confidence and helps you find what excites you most in diving, all under the guidance of a PADI Professional Plus, it’s a stepping stone towards the PADI Advanced Open water Certification.

The PADI Adventure Diver Course allows you to customize your learning experience based on your interests and diving goals.

Your PADI Instructor will help you plan your path, provide essential knowledge, and ensure you get the most out of your experience.
Additionally, you’ll learn how to use specialized diving equipment based on your chosen dives. For example:
- A dry suit for the Dry Suit Adventure Dive.
- A sidemount configuration for the Sidemount Adventure Dive.
- A dive light for night diving.
- A lift bag for search and recovery dives.
Study at Your Own Pace
Get started with PADI eLearning and complete the knowledge development portion of your course online at home. Then, schedule your Adventure Dives with your PADI Instructor at DiveClub Northern Ireland.

Course Prerequisites
- PADI Open water or Junior Open Water Diver (or an equivalent certification from another organization).
- Medically fit to dive – Please review the medical declaration before enrolling.
- Completion of knowledge review sections from the course manual before training.
- Minimum age: 12 years old (12–14-year-olds receive a Junior Adventure Diver certification).
- Availability: 2 free days on a weekend.
