What’s Involved?

This course combines classroom learning with a hands-on underwater cleanup dive, where you’ll:
✅ Understand Marine Debris – Learn what it is, where it comes from, and how it affects marine ecosystems
✅ Plan a Dive Against Debris Survey – Identify survey sites, use proper equipment, and conduct effective cleanups
✅ Use Photography & Data Collection – Learn what to remove, what to leave behind, and how to report findings
✅ Follow the 5-Step Reporting Process – Ensure your cleanup efforts contribute to global marine conservation

Course Details

  • Duration: 1 day – 1 open water dive
  • Certification: PADI Dive Against Debris Specialty
  • Requirements:
    • PADI Open Water Diver (or equivalent)
    • Minimum age: 12 years
